CHERRY COKE BLACK Forrest COBBLER RECIPE

We are in the middle of NCAA(r) March Madness celebrations, and I wanted a fresh spin on our snack bar for our friends. Hot dogs, pretzels, and brats are usually too salty. I decided it was time for a sweeter spread. Why not use flavors from the Coca-Cola NCAA Final Four Pack, available at Walmart?
Three flavors were available in cans: Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, and Coke Zero. Walmart was offering a special of four cans (16 cans) at $5 or two cans for $3. I bought all three. I bought four packs so that I could get one of each flavor. I also grabbed an additional Cherry Coke, as it is a favorite in my family. The Coca-Cola NCAA Final Four Packs are available at Walmart in a special display by the checkouts. Look for them. I took a photo of them to help you find what you are looking for.
When I thought about the sweet treat that I wanted to share with my friends, I immediately thought of a black-forest recipe. To boost the cherry flavor, I used Cherry Coke to make this easy Black Forest Cobbler recipe. It worked! How to do it.
Set the oven to 350 degrees. You’ll need cherry pie filling (or any other fruity flavor), a chocolate cake mixture, and a can of Cherry Coke. Chocolate chips are optional, but they add a rich flavor and a lot of sweetness to the cobbler.
Here’s how simple it is to put together. Put your cherry pie filling in a 9×13-inch dish. We used two cans of 21 oz cherries because we love them.
Pour the chocolate chips on top of your pie filling if you are using them. I swirled them in with a butterknife.
Spread the chocolate cake mix evenly over the chocolate chips and cherry pie filling. Do not mix; just spread it evenly. Pour your Cherry Coke. It only takes one can. Do not mix into the cake mix, and beware of the fizz.
Make sure to moisten the entire cake mix. Dry mixes, like the one in the picture above, will not bake and remain powdery when removed. Remember not to mix the Cherry Coke into the entire cake layer. You’ll end up with a cake-like consistency rather than a more crusty consistency.
It’s time to bake! It’s easy, I told you. Bake for about 30 minutes. The cake’s top should be slightly crusted. If necessary, adjust the time.
While I was waiting for my Cherry Coke Black Forest Cobbler, I decided I would pour myself another Cherry Coke on ice. This Coke glass I bought years ago is my favorite. I always run my Coke in one of these. Allow it to cool down so that it will be a little firmer when you cut it. The chocolate looks so pretty with the cherries! I was ecstatic to serve this tasty creation at NCAA(r), March Madness, and share it with friends. It’s important to note that this recipe was created to counter the extremely salty spread of food we were serving before the event. I found out I needed the salt to complement the sweetness, so I served it together. The Cherry Coke Black Forest Cobbler is delicious with brats, pretzels, and Vanilla Coke. Walmart offers the Coca-Cola NCAA Final Four Pack, which is a great way to share Coca-Cola with family and friends.
Do you want to keep your Coca-Cola cold? Place them in a large bowl of ice. You’ll be able to thank your friends later.
It was a great addition to our NCAA(r) March Madness party once I allowed it to cool down enough to cut.
