Fairytale tea party for little girls
Over the years, we have had a variety of themes. We have done a lot of party themes over the years. From a National Park Party for Adventurers to an Ultimate Art Party For Kids and a Pancake and Pajama Party, which will knock off your slippers! As Evie’s ninth birthday approached, I asked what type of party she wanted. When she replied, “A Tea Party,” I was stunned. For some reason, I thought that we were past tea parties. I set out to find the best Tea Party Ideas for older girls. After all, they are little ladies. A high tea seemed appropriate. This is how I threw an adorable tea party for Evie’s birthday, and what I added WHIM. Continue reading to find links to all you need to recreate the theme of this girls’ party.
Tea Party Birthday Decor
When I imagine a tea party, I picture everything vintage, floral, and fancy. The place where you will be enjoying high tea is essential. Continue reading for more food ideas. Balloons seemed to be out of place for a tea party when it came to decor. Although I enjoy a balloon garland or arch, we wanted something more “grown-up” for the princesses. What about a wall made of flowers? This huge wall of pink roses made the perfect backdrop for a tea party. This was the ideal backdrop for a photo shoot, and it looked so magical. You can also add cute teacups and floral or lace tablecloths to your display. These bud vases look like teapots and cups stacked.
Tea Party Foods
It’s impossible to have a party or a tea without food. Our tea party included trays of tea sandwiches, cookies, and fruit. It would be an understatement to say that our girls laughed their faces off! Here are some recipes that will be perfect for a birthday tea party. Do not forget the tea. You should serve children tea without caffeine. Rose or Raspberry make great flavors for kids. Don’t forget to grab some sugar cubes. These sugar cubes are so cute!
Savory Snacks

Tea Party Activities for Kids
Dressing up is a favorite activity for most girls, and a Tea Party is the perfect occasion to dress up. They played dress-up for hours! The girls had so much joy changing accessories, trying on gloves and hats, and switching dresses. They wanted to find the perfect outfit for their high-tea party. We put on a fashion show because of the many wardrobe changes. They had a lot of fun. We let them model their outfits while we played music. We took photos and printed them from their phones so that they could take the pictures home. This printer connects with smartphones. It’s a wonderful thing to own in general.
We took a moment to create princess crowns. All the girls sat and colored paper crowns. They seemed to enjoy this activity. It was interesting to see the different ways each girl decorated her princess crown. If you don’t want to decorate crowns, I love the color sheets that are used for parties. This activity always brings everyone together around the table to work together. This is a great activity for children that doesn’t take much time to set up. This party would be great with the Tea Time Colour Sheet.
High tea was the final activity. All the ladies sat down and were treated like little girls, being pampered. It was adorable!
Party Favors for Tea Party Birthday
When I thought about what party favors I could make for older girls, I wanted something that they all would use. I wrapped the teapot bath bombs with a cellophane pouch. Evie also added lipgloss and butterfly clips, as well as a cute spa mask for kids and bracelets with beads. The favors are super girly. Each girl took home a picture of their group from the fashion show, as well as the paper crowns they made at the party.
Our tea party was a great success. The girls enjoyed dressing up and being little ladies for their high tea.
