Liams holiday cookie decorating 3rd birthday party

Hello, my dears! I’m excited to share my little boy’s third birthday celebration with you. I’ve been constructing my little heart out over the past couple of weeks in anticipation of throwing a fantastic party and sharing some of my favorite ideas with you. Liam is among those children who can celebrate his birthday for months, which, for parents, could be quite stressful. This year, I thought we could have the perfect holiday party. That way, I could sort or kill two birds with a stone. With Christmas music playing on continuous rotation, we conceived the idea of a modern and boy-approved Christmas cookie decorating event. Girls can’t be left out of the fun! So let’s jump into the water, shall we?
On arrival, we welcomed our moms with holiday-themed corsages created using pine branches, jinglebells and ribbon. The kids also received an exclusive reward thanks to Bon Puf’s cotton candy. I came across this cool business across the internet, and we decided to include them in the mix. They offer the finest holiday flavors, like egg nog, along with cotton candy and sugar cookies. So perfect, right? Liam, most of the time, sucked candy canes. I was unable to get him removed from his mouth, but the look of it is adorable, doesn’t it?!
When winter comes around, I am blessed that we have a mantel to dress up. The mantel we have this year is a perfect blend of whimsy and modern. The mantel we had last year was contemporary with glam accents. You can check it out here. The idea came into being as I imagined this stylish design for the advent calendar’s centerpiece. I found a manzanita tree and painted it white, and I also took the clear ornaments (found from Michaels) fil, led them with pieces of stuff from the house, and kept the color scheme in the back of my mind. How adorable are those tiny stockings? This seller on Etsy was a joy to me when I discovered her business. Also, Kristina, bless her heart, has handmade clay ornaments featuring the initials of all the kids. What a great idea! We added a touch of fun with the stuffed trees, animals, and candies. Also, I wrapped candles in white with red tape to give them extra personality.
A funny thing to be noted: if you examine this image above, you’ll spot a green something in the fireplace to the right. Do you see it? It’s Liam’s pants, ha! I noticed them only while browsing through the photos following the event! It was true that they were the next day after the party, lingering on the fire. It’s a fact. How could I have missed it? This is hilarious as it shows that even though we tried the time to create a perfect environment, at the end of the day, it’s just a home with a three-year-old who runs through the house like a crazy animal.
I found these cute little aprons at Hobby Lobby, and then potato stamped the aprons. You can check out some of our other potato stamps in this post as well on this page. I really wish I’d purchased more because it’s an awesome gift idea!
