Taco party 2nd-birthday
There’s nothing better than the crunch and often spicy deliciousness of a taco. Taco Tuesday is probably your favorite weekly excuse to eat your famous Mexican cuisine. Why not plan your child’s 2nd birthday around the theme of Taco Tuesday? Taco Twosday party features not only the taco bar but also decor, games, and party favors. A pinata is an excellent game for a birthday party. Fill it up with sweets and small toys. You could have a pinata just for adults, filled with miniature bottles of tequila. No children allowed!
The couple chose a theme of soft, light colors for their Taco Twosday party, avoiding the primary colors that are usually used on second birthdays. The white craft banners and cactus plant decorations are lovely additions to this theme.
Pastel colors must be used. Cover an accent wall in pastel orange, green, and blue streamers. This gorgeous wall can be used as the backdrop of a DIY photo booth.
This birthday party is certainly special. Parents also added their child’s name to the desserts.
Cactus-shaped glassware and napkins were used to decorate the Taco Twosday Birthday Party.
The couple filled the table with fruit native to the region where tacos originated, such as papayas and mangos. They also used limes, avocados, and limes.
You can serve other food that goes with the theme, even if you’re having a party centered around tacos. Quesadillas are a great alternative to tacos while still keeping with the Mexican theme. You can make one without meats or chicken so that vegetarians have a choice.
It all comes down, of course, to the taco station. The couple offered a variety of toppings, including lettuce, black bean, pico de Gallo, cheese, and sour cream, as well as hot sauce.
Don’t forget a sweet treat for dessert!
The colors of the cake matched perfectly with the pastel decor. The cake was a three-tiered confection with Mexican embroidery, animal fondant, and Mexican embroidery. Each layer was decorated with florals, grapefruit, and lime.
These wooden cactus drink stirrers are a great alternative to plastic stirrers.
Amber glassware complemented the color scheme of pastel oranges and terracottas well.
The couple got personalized napkins with “Avery is Dos!” in addition to the cactus-themed napkins.
After a spicy meal, a frozen dessert is a great way to cool the mouths of guests.
The streamer-accented wall made a great background for photos of the birthday boy.
Parents went the extra mile by renting a petting zoo. The kids loved petting the llamas and greeting the donkeys.
Guests were treated to delicious churros before the cake-cutting.
The juice bar allowed guests to pour their drinks and decorate their cactus stirrers for their drinks with their favorite fruits.
The wooden walls were adorned with balloons, while the cake stand was piled high with sweets and savory treats! Avery’s parents and Avery posed for an instant photo before Avery cut his cake.
The guests received fun party favors at the end of the party. Clear goodie bags were filled with lime gummy candies. A label read, “Thanks for the good lime,” and included a mini-sombrero. The guests could also take home a green glass cactus cup.
The party was filled with tacos and delicious treats. It also had a stunning décor. Avery’s parents and guests will remember this memorable celebration for a long time!
