Tropical flamingo girls birthday party by the shift creative

Is anyone planning to throw a party for their kids before the summer ends? Alexis’ DIY tropical design for her daughter from The Shift Creative will inspire you. A: Every year, I promise my husband that we will keep Sophie’s birthday simple. This year, I tried. This is simple. My husband’s definition of simple includes party hats, pizza, and balloon installations, while mine is acai jars and balloons. I’m not kidding when I say I can’t stop myself!

You’ll have to see these photos of Kayla Plouffe after reading this, right?

Sweet & Saucy Shop: Tropical desserts are a perfect match.

Flowers from Mv Florals and pink balloons? Yes. Alexis reports that she built the balloon arches in 2 days using The House That Lars Built. It took me a lot longer than I expected, but it was worth the wait.

Amaze Bowls served the best acai in coconuts, topped with edible flowers, and enjoyed in the courtyard. The perfect summer treat! Next year, there may be a Pizza Party…
