Hosting An Outdoor Baby Shower
Malana was my fifth baby, born two months ago. She’s a tiny little thing that loves to play and sleep all night long! Yesterday, my sister visited and took some amazing pictures of her when she was awake.
In honor of my little Malana, I would like to share with you some tips for planning an outdoor baby shower to make sure your celebrations are a success!
How to Plan an Outdoor Baby Shower
Choose a theme
The first step is to decide on the theme of your baby shower. Choose from a variety of themes, such as elegant or casual. You can also choose to go with coordinating colors or a jungle theme.
Diaper showers are one of my favorite themes, especially for those who don’t have their first child and already have all the equipment they need. Diapers are a must for every mom!!! Grab a few boxes of the new Little Snugglers Plus Diapers while you are at Costco.
Use diapers as decor for your baby shower. Make diaper cakes to use as centerpieces. Hang diapers and onesies from clothespins on clotheslines in the yard. You can ask guests to bring diapers and even send them home with the diapers that you used as decor.
Baby Shower Invitations Ideas
Send out your invitations now that you’ve chosen a theme! You can design your invites, buy them on Etsy, or get some ideas from Pinterest.
Outdoor Decoration Ideas
It’s easy to keep an outdoor baby shower simple and enjoy the beauty of nature. A big balloon, white lights, and lanterns can be festive. Or, a colorful centerpiece will set the mood for a great celebration!
Baby Shower Gifts
You can now focus on the gifts you will give the mother-to-be. You can always stick with items from the registry if you are unsure what to buy. And remember, DIAPERS AND WIPES will be appreciated no matter what! Costco has Huggies brand new Diapers and wipes that are specifically designed to provide babies with premium baby care. Costco’s Little Snugglers Diapers and Natural Care Plus Wipes were great gifts for Malana. They saved her life!
Huggies Little Snugglers Plus Diapers not only offer the best protection for both day and night, but they are also incredibly soft and flexible. The GentleAbsorb Liner has tiny pillows to cushion your baby’s skin from the mess. The waistband pocket helps to keep the lot in, and the wetness indicators change colors when Malana is ready for a new diaper.
I asked for the Huggies NaturalCarePlus Wipes to start stockpiling, and I’m so glad I did. Costco has introduced these new wipes that are thicker, more durable, and better for cleaning up life’s mess. My baby shower wipes lasted Malana and me SO long!
Costco has just introduced two new products for pregnant women: Huggies Little Snugglers and Huggies Wipes Natural Care. These are essentials for any baby. Costco has diapers and wipes that will be a great help to your guests.
Outdoor Baby Shower Foods
If you are doing the cooking yourself, you can be as creative as possible with your food preparation. However, it is best to keep things simple. Don’t spend the time in the kitchen slaving over food when your guests arrive! Select something that you can prepare ahead of time. Presentation is key! Even simple finger foods and fruits can look elegant if they are displayed in a stunning display! We have some great ideas for baby showers!
Baby Shower Games
Shower games are also a great way to entertain your guests. I find that opening gifts and chatting up friends at a baby shower is the most enjoyable. I suggest planning no more than two or three games. The more prizes, the happier the guests will be.
