This is a healthy dessert that doesn’t contain any dairy products. But you will agree that it tastes great and will make both children and adults happy.

Fruit is the perfect solution to our occasional sweet tooth. It’s a great way to satisfy that craving without adding all of the refined sugars found in most desserts. You can make delicious desserts using tortillas by making a few tweaks.

Slice a banana, add cinnamon and desiccated Coconut to our Salted Date Almond butter, and you have a delicious dessert quesadilla. Dates add a natural sweetness to bananas while adding a salty note. Put it all in a tortilla and melt it. We’re already drooling!

RECIPE: HEALTHY QUESADILLA DESSERT WITH BANANA & SEATED DATE ALMOND BUTTER

Ingredients per tortilla:

1 x Tortilla

1 Tbsp. Salted Date Almond butter

Half a large banana, thinly sliced

Sprinkle desiccated Coconut

Cinnamon powder

Optional: cacao nibs for a hint of chocolate

Method:

Spread almond butter on half of a tortilla.

Add banana slices to the almond butter. Sprinkle cinnamon and Coconut according to taste.

Fold the tortilla into half and cook it in a nonstick pan on medium-high heat for 3 to 4 mins.

Once the tortilla has turned golden brown, flip it again.

Add extra almond butter to your dessert quesadillas.
